GECO LIME plaster

PREMIXED PLASTER FOR THICK-COAT APPLICATIONS ON DAMP WALLS

GECO LIME plaster is a pre-mixed renovation plaster (EN 998-1 R) based on NHL 5 natural hydraulic lime, designed for damp walls and historic buildings. It is waterproof yet breathable: moisture can leave the wall while liquid water is kept out, with a capillary rise below 0.197 in (5 mm).

Mineral fibers improve impact resistance, anti-sagging additives give a uniform surface and controlled shrinkage minimizes cracks. It goes on at 0.236 to 0.787 in (6 to 20 mm) per coat – thicker builds in successive coats 24 h apart – and also levels uneven substrates with height differences up to 13/16 in (20 mm).

Lime makes it compatible with old and delicate substrates – stone, brick, terracotta, existing plasters – for durable restoration of existing and historic buildings.

Compressive strength: > 218 psi (> 1.5 MPa) (CS II); dry density: 99.9 ± 3.1 lb/ft³ (1600 ± 50 kg/m³).
Adhesion on terracotta: 73 psi (0.50 MPa), failure pattern B (substrate).
Capillary water absorption: > 0.061 lb/ft² (> 0.3 kg/m²) after 24 h; capillary rise: < 0.197 in (< 5 mm).
Water vapor diffusion resistance factor μ: 11; thermal conductivity: < 1.73 BTU·in/(h·ft²·°F) (< 0.25 W/(m·K)).
Reaction to fire: A1 (non-combustible).
Thickness per coat: 0.236 to 0.787 in (6-20 mm); consumption: 7.8 lb/ft² per inch of thickness (1.5 kg/m² per mm); fresh density: 103 ± 3.1 lb/ft³ (1650 ± 50 kg/m³).
Mixing water: 1.3-1.5 gal (5.0-5.5 L) per bag; open time: 20 minutes; application between 41 °F (+5 °C) and 95 °F (+35 °C).
55 lb (25 kg) bags; pallet of 60 bags; shelf life 12 months in a dry place.

PACKAGING

Regularizing plaster on damp surfaces, especially concrete and historic substrates.
Leveling of uneven substrates (height differences up to 13/16 in (20 mm)).
Renovation systems on concrete, aerated concrete, masonry, existing plasters, terracotta, brick and stone.
On weak or highly absorbent substrates, apply GECO LIME scratch first.
